Frequently asked questions
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from inside the app: open Settings → Delete account and confirm.
Deleting your account removes your user record, and your polls, votes, messages, and push tokens
are removed or disassociated from you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Aggregate poll results (for example total vote counts) may persist in anonymized form.
If you can't access the app, email support@dipoll.org from the address on your account and
we will process the deletion for you.
I'm stuck on email or phone verification
- Email code not arriving? Check your spam or junk folder, and confirm you typed your email
address correctly. Verification codes expire after a short time, so request a fresh one if it
has been a while. - SMS code not arriving? Make sure the phone number you entered can receive text messages
(landlines and some VoIP numbers cannot), that you included the correct country, and that your
phone has signal. Then request a new code and give it a minute to arrive.
If you've retried and still can't get verified, email support@dipoll.org and we'll help you
finish setting up your account.
How do I reset my password?
If you've forgotten your password, email support@dipoll.org from the email address on your
account and we will help you regain access. If you signed up with Sign in with Apple or Google,
you don't have a Dipoll password — just sign in with that provider again.
How do I report content or block someone?
- Report a poll or comment: open the action menu on the poll (the "…" menu) and choose
Report. Tell us the reason and our moderation team will review it against our
Community Guidelines. - Block a user: open that user's profile and choose Block. Blocked users can no longer
interact with you.
How do I control my privacy?
You're in control of what you share on Dipoll:
- Demographics are optional. Every demographic field (age, gender, location, and so on) can
be left blank, changed, or cleared at any time in Edit Profile. - Private account. Set your account to private in Settings to limit who sees your activity.
- Anonymous voting. You can cast votes anonymously so they aren't attributed to you in poll
results. - Device permissions. Location, camera, photo, and notification access can be revoked at any
time in your device's OS settings.
For full details, see our Privacy Policy and Your Privacy Choices.
How do I manage notifications?
Use the notification toggles in the app's Settings to turn categories (like direct messages,
activity, and comment replies) on or off. You can also disable Dipoll notifications entirely in
your device's iOS or Android notification settings.
