Your Privacy Choices
Last updated: July 16, 2026
This page summarizes the privacy choices available to you as a Dipoll user, including the rights
provided by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar laws. For full details on
what we collect and how we use it, see the Dipoll Privacy Policy.

Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information
Dipoll does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for
cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA). We run no
third-party advertising SDKs in the app. Because we do not sell or share personal information,
there is nothing to opt out of today.
Where required by law, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser as
a valid opt-out preference. If our practices ever change, we will update this page and the
Privacy Policy before doing so, and provide a working opt-out mechanism.
Access, correct, or delete your data
You can exercise these rights directly in the app, or by contacting us:
- Delete your account and its data: in the app, go to Settings → Delete account. This
removes your user record; your polls, votes, messages, and push tokens are removed or
disassociated from you. - Correct or update your data: edit any account or profile field in Edit Profile at any
time. - Request access, a copy, correction, or deletion by email: contact support@dipoll.org
from the email address on your account. We will verify your request and respond within the
timeframe required by applicable law (for California residents, generally within 45 days).
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
In-app privacy controls
- Optional demographics: every demographic and profile field (age, gender, religion,
political views, and so on) is optional. You can leave any field blank, change it, or clear it
at any time in Edit Profile. - Private account: set your account to private in Settings to limit who can see your
activity. - Block users: block any account to stop them from interacting with you.
- Anonymous voting: you can cast votes anonymously so they are not attributed to you in poll
results. - Notification toggles: turn individual notification categories (DMs, activity, comment
replies) on or off in Settings.
Device permissions
Dipoll only uses device permissions you grant, and you can revoke any of them at any time in
your device's OS settings (iOS Settings → Dipoll, or Android Settings → Apps → Dipoll):
- Location — used for nearby polls and geographic result maps.
- Camera and photos — used only when you choose a profile picture or attach an image.
- Notifications — used to deliver the push notifications you enable.
The app continues to work with these permissions off; the related features are simply
unavailable.
Authorized agents (California)
California residents may designate an authorized agent to submit a privacy request on their
behalf. Have your agent contact support@dipoll.org with proof of your written authorization;
we may also ask you to verify your identity directly.
